If you’re already seeing some results from your Pinterest efforts and are no longer starting out or completely new to the game, let’s talk about some next-level strategies for doubling your Pinterest results. Here’s how to double your Pinterest results easily and with the most bang for your buck!
How to Double Your Pinterest Results Easily
First you’ll need to go into your Pinterest analytics to get an idea of which pins are doing well.
Your analytics show how your pins are doing. You can see what people are clicking, saving, and viewing. This gives you a clear picture of what is working.
You can also check the stats on an individual pin to see the impressions, saves, and clicks. And if you have Google Analytics installed on your blog (which I recommend!), then you’ll know which blog posts are popular and getting the most page views.
If you DON’T already have pins for all of your top 10 blog posts, go create beautiful pins for them and pin each of them to your most relevant board.

Create New Pins for Your Top Performing Posts
Next, see which of your pins are doing the best. Now, I want you to create a second pin image for these popular pins. WHAT? Yes, you can create more than one graphic for a blog post and effectively double the results from a blog post or pin that’s already doing well. (And actually, I have some posts on my blogs that I’ve tested 5, 6, or even more pin graphics for…)
Although you could absolutely do this for all your blog posts, I’d recommend starting with the top 10 or 20 pins or blog posts and creating a second pin image just to maximize the results you get for the time you put in.
These posts already have proof that your audience likes them. Making a new pin for them is the fastest way to grow your reach!
Not only that, but you can try tweaking your graphics a little and sharing them to other boards on your account. Try swapping the photo, colors, or doing a slightly different headline.
Do You Need to Stay on Brand?
Another way to double your results is by testing completely different pin styles if you’re open to it. At one point I actually changed the style of my pins to be more colorful, and the new pins did better than the old ones. You can always test new styles and ways of creating your images and headlines in order to maximize your results.
Small changes can lead to big improvements.
I want to note that sometimes your branding and colors aren’t necessarily what will perform well on Pinterest.
If it’s important to stay on-brand (maybe you’re a designer), then go for it, otherwise there’s no limit to how many different styles you can try over time to simply maximize performance (just don’t spam Pinterest constantly).
Create Infographics or Quote Graphics
Here’s another option for creating a second (or third… or fourth) pin image:
Create an infographic or list for your pin! I wrote a listicle blog post once and within about a week, the pin with just the headline had around 50 repins, and the infographic that actually listed out the things had almost 200! That shows the power of testing different things to see what does better.
I also have a pin with a list of calligraphy fonts instead of just listing the headline of the post (which is “11 Best Calligraphy Fonts”). Try it! It’s well worth your time to duplicate your successes and focus on the 20% of your pins or posts that are driving 80% of your results, traffic, or sales.
You can also try adding a few quote graphics, which typically get high impressions and saves but fewer outbound clicks. They can still be valuable for your account.
Always be testing!
